I started this company as a result of my own experience and that of the many other expats I spoke to prior to moving to Portugal. When I tried to find a company to handle my own visa application, no expat that I spoke to could speak positively of their experience. Many spoke about being passed from one person to the next, inattentiveness, and failed visas. It was therefore unsurprising that many had instructed several companies in total to get their residency visa. Based on this, I chose to complete the process myself. Despite my legal background, it still took me over a year to complete it.

My experience taught me that due to the complexities of the process and the varying interpretations of the different requirements, mistakes and failed visas are almost inevitable when several people deal with various aspects of an applicant’s visa. This experience motivated me to dedicate the following two years to gaining in-depth knowledge of every aspect of the different visa requirements. Through regular communication with Portuguese immigration authorities and embassies worldwide, I stay up-to-date with the latest developments and any changes in visa regulations.

Step 1: Your Free Consultation

We do not sell any of our services directly on our website, as not everyone qualifies for the D7 or D8 residency visas. Instead, we provide a free consultation to assess your eligibility and recommend the visa that best suits your situation. It also provides an opportunity for you to meet your relocation partner and resolve any questions or concerns you may have. All consultations are held remotely and typically last around 30 minutes.

We will provide a detailed summary of what is included in our visa packages. If you choose to proceed with our services during or after your consultation, we will send you an invoice along with a contract for services.

Step 2: Our Comprehensive Packages

Relocation Simplified prides itself on offering the most comprehensive and transparent visa packages for the D7 and D8 residency visas. 

Many firms may omit or add essential services needed for your visa application, such as obtaining your NIF (Portuguese tax number), opening a Portuguese bank account, or assisting with finding accommodation for your one-year rental agreement. We include all of these services and much more in our comprehensive packages, which have a fixed fee of £2,500 for individual applicants and £4,500 for joint applicants. The only additional costs you will incur are the fees for your application payable to the consulate and the fees to AIMA for your residency card, as well as expenses related to your rental agreement or property purchase in Portugal, a criminal record check, and health insurance coverage.

Once all requirements are met, we will prepare your ‘visa bundle,’ which includes all your documents organised and ready for your visa appointment in your home country.
