About residency visas

- We assist clients from the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
- We confirm your eligibility during your free consultation and advise which visa to apply for.
- The key difference between the D7 and D8 residency visas is the type of income earned by the main applicant and the amount required for financial subsistence.
- Obtaining your D7 or D8 visa should take around 3–4 months.
- Gather all necessary documents.
- Book appointment at your local Portuguese consulate or VFS Global.
- Attend the appointment and submit all your documents.
- Collect your D7 or D8 visa, roughly 6 to 8 weeks later.
- Move to Portugal and attend your AIMA appointment, where you will convert your visa into a 2-year residency permit.
- If you wish to reside in Portugal for longer, this permit can be extended for a further 3 years, after which you can apply for permanent residence or citizenship.
